This version handed out in 's Gravenzande at "Soulbeach Slag Vluchtenburg". It's also a cover variation of this version, which was handed out in Tilburg, The Netherlands and during a promotional DJ-night at Concert Hall Mezz in Breda, The Netherlands [see and compare images of both versions]. The 'sGravenzande,Tilburg and Breda versions both have different front cover stickers.
Printed at the edge of label without periods or commas: "For promotional use only Desperados 2004 'Happy' written and produced by Max Sedgley published by Music Market (p) 2003 IRMA Records www.irmagroup.com licensed courtesy of IRMA records" [see images].
Released by Desperados, tequila flavoured beer. For promotional use only. The distribution of these 45rpm single sided singles was solely based on promoting the Desperados beer.
Desperados would organize "DJ nights" in selected cities in The Netherlands; locations that had at least one notable concert hall. The nights would basically be about 'open turntables', where people could use the Desperados promo and mix it with three of their own records and if they didn't bring records, they could mix it with the titles from a limited selection on the night itself; records of which the artist and titles had been printed in a book to choose from. Everything was promoted and maintained through the (now defunct) website www.liveafterdark.nl, where people could find the next location for these events and win prizes.
"Happy" contains samples from "Also Sprach Zarathustra" by Eumir Deodato and "Happy" by Eddie Kendricks.
