- Publishing company and distributer founded as Edition S Press in 1970 and renamed to S Press Tonbandverlag in the mid-1970s. The name Edition S Press was used again in the 1990s up to the death of co-founder Michael Köhler (2) in 2005. The company was formed by Nikolaus Einhorn, Angela Köhler and Michael Köhler (2) to publish audio art, sound poetry and acoustic literature.
They published on 13cm reel-to-reel and audio cassettes originally. Their label is credited as S Press Tonband and S-Press Tapes (with variations).
