- Prosound was formed in 1991 by Mehmet Ozerman and Mehmet Işıklı in Istanbul, Turkey. By importing Electronic, dance, jazz and acid jazz music CDs and Vinyl, Prosound became unique right away in the market of its own.
Being devoted to Dance Music, Prosound owned finest DJs and producers production rights to provide releases to Turkish media in the exact time with the world.
Prosound along with DMC and Technics, sponsored Turkish DJ Contest in late 90s.
In early 2000s, Prosound managed to own the most significant Vinyl Companies and distributors Turkish rights by aiming to provide brand new and most selective music to the music lovers.
By adding to the portfolio, Englands Ministry of Sounds and 3MV, Frances Cyber, Spains Vale Music and Blanco Y Negros general representative, Prosound made variety of electronic/dance music productions available in Turkish market.
Prosound facilitated local producers to open up to the world with The Future Sound of Istanbul 2-3 and House Works, which are only consisted of Turkish producers productions.
Prosound released albums and singles of the finest producers abroad in Turkey with Prosound Records profile as well as releasing compilation albums in different music genres. Various compilation albums were prepared for Metro FM, Kiss FM, Radio FG and Power FM. In the mean time, six other compilations were produced within a number of examples of different dance music genre.
Prosound Presents Sound Session, the radio show in which, brand new international house releases were being presented, was featured on the most noticeable radio shows such as Radyo 5, Kiss FM Turkey, Number1 FM, Radio Plus (Cyprus), Radio Cosmos, Radio N.
Prosound Entertainment was entitled as Music Director of numerous electronic music radios and nightclubs such as Le Chic (2001), Radio Cool (2003) and Club Zero (2003), Halikarnas Bodrum (2004), Hadigari Bodrum (2005-2006-2007), Mansion/ Cyprus (2008).
Prosound Organization was formed in late 90s by aiming to make perform Best World-wide known DJs in Turkey. Sander Kleinenberg, Tom Novy, Yahel, Nadia Ali, Yves Larock, Benny Benassi pres. The Biz, Oliver Klein, Marc Zimms, Christian Cambas, Niki Belucci, Sven Palzer and Andrew K are a few to name.
Recently, The Company merged under the name of Prosound Entertainment. As primary dance music label in Turkey, it carries on to produce digital releases on top of organization and Artist-DJ bookings under new management, in London, and a collaboration with Mehmet Işıklı and Umut Akalin.
