La Musica Records was a bootleg label started by bassist Asahito Nanjo from 1996 to circa 2001 (although there's a 1995 CD jointly released by La Musica Records and P.S.F.). Nanjo was known to take - and in some instances ask - for other artists' recordings and re-release them without their permission, often "de-mastering" the recordings by using distortion, dynamic range compression and clipping, a technique that, while not necessarily new to Japanese noise fans, was unique to Nanjo's musical identity and artistry. In total, the label has released 176 tapes, about two dozen videos and almost a hundred CDrs, often packaged in boxsets sold on the former website or on tours.
