- Attacknine is based in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, California; formed in 1999 by Erik Alwill and Nick Huntington as a means to release the music of Freescha. Soon after they began to release music by their friends. The name's meaning is a play on the German word "nein" (no), with the label's name translating to: "no attack".
Attacknine officially does not spell it's name using the numerical number nine ("9"), though early release logos did incorporate it.
